History of Superules / M.A.F / AFL Masters

Superules was conceived from the idea for players, 35 years and over,
being able to continue playing the sport they love, but without the
heavy commitment required during their earlier days in the sport.
Superules was formulated in the country areas of Victoria during 1980
by founder John Hammer and other like-minded football fanatics
and continues to grow from there...

| Oct 2001 | 19th National Championships, Gold Coast, Queensland |
| Jun 2002 | John Morrison resigns after providing 7 years as MAF Executive Officer, Neil King takes over the reigns. |
| Oct 2002 | 20th National Championships, Melbourne, Victoria |
| Oct 2002 | A team of 30 players went to Ireland to represent MAF in the 1st Irish tour Games played in Dublin & Galway |
| Sept 2003 | 21st National Carnival held in Perth at the McGilvray complex |
| Jul 2003 | The 2004 National carnival awarded to AFL Cairns |
| Nov 2003 | Dublin Masters visit and play combined MAF side in Melbourne |
| Oct 2004 | 22nd National Carnival played in Cairns, QLD |
| Oct 2004 | Australian Team Tours Ireland |
| Oct 2005 | 23rd National Carnival played in Adelaide, SA |
| Oct 2006 | 24th National Carnival played in Maroochydore, QLD |
| Oct 2006 | Australian Team Tours Ireland |
| Oct 2007 | 25th National Carnival played in Sydney, NSW |
